The most excellent UK warbird magazine Aeroplane (usually available in the USA from your local Barnes & Noble) listed the restoration of the two OV-10B’s belonging to the OBA’s German Wing as their lead news story in the June 2001 issue (see page 4) including a couple of nice photos of the engine trials. There are a couple of minor errors in the article, in that the pods under the aircraft held the towed gunnery target and not fuel, and the membership of the OBA stands closer to 300 than the 130 reported. Still, we really appreciate the coverage, and expect to see more as the GWOBA continues to move towards flight.
