Hi folks,Finally have BroncoFest VIII pretty well nailed down.
Attached you will find the POD and Registration Forms.
Activities will begin on Friday April 15th and continue to Sunday the 17th. Although we would like to have you with us for the entire time, please don’t hesitate to join us for a single event.
Some of the highlights will be Bronco Work Parties, The Rahr Brewery tour and the Joint Reserve Base’s Airpower Expo 2011 featuring the Blue Angels.
We decided since we will have a bunch of Bronco people in town we might as well put you to work on our Broncos. Our director of Maintenance, Chip Bulkeley, will be lining up projects to work on over the weekend. It won’t be all work though, we are planning for Saturday the 16th to be a work party with a family-style picnic at the museum.
The Rahr Brewery is a local brewery that we think you will find fun. Check them out at http://www.rahrbrewing.com/
This year is the centennial of flight here in Fort Worth and also for Naval Aviation. The Airpower Expo 2011 air show at Joint Reserve Base Ft. Worth will be highlighting this and should be special.
We have made arrangements with our local Radisson for a great $89.00 rate… reserve you room online at this speciallink: http://www.radisson.com/broncofest2011
If you are looking for something a little more economical, try the Super 8 which is offering a $65.00 rate and will be the site of the Hooch, like last time. See them at http://www.super8motelfortworth.com/ Ask for the OV-10 Bronco Rate.
The Baymont is right next door and is offer a $59.00 rate. Again, just ask for the OV-10 Bronco rate.
Friday night will be our traditional Flight Suit/Flight Jacket reception. You don’t have to wear either, just a chance to take them out of your closet for a night. During the day on Saturday we will also have some special briefings in the Ready Room and in the evening, will have the Yankee Air Pirate dinner and silent auction. We will also present our annual Bronco Buster Award and recognize a few other people as well, so bring your eye patch and bandanna.
If you are flying on on American Airlines, we have what is called a Business ExtrAA account. This is setup to show American how much business is coming their way because of their sponsorships to us. It won’t get you a better rate and it won’t cost you anything, but if you do travel on American and book online, please add this number to your reservation as it will help us maintain support from American Airlines. Our Business ExtrAA Account Number is 809443. Thanks.
Dawn Golas is our coordinator this year, so if you have questions, email Dawn or myself.
Looking forward to seeing you all in April.
